Miserere mei, Deus

It is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.
And it is with some relief that I greet this time of the year: Cor mundum crea in me, Deus.
Am currently listening to a recording of this beautiful hymn found here; this recording is arguably more beautiful than the Trinity College, Cambridge recording I own.
Music is moving.
And I listen to this piece in trembling shivers and tears I cannot call forth. Asperges me, Domine, hyssopo, et mundabor: lavabis me, et super nivem dealbabor.
